		AKD-20 Low-Voltage Switchgear AKD-20 continues the tradition of the AKD switchgear line while delivering enhanced arc flash protection. Built to ANSI standards, its protection features include non-vented panels plus insulated and isolated bus, and it integrates our new state-of-the-art EntelliGuard® breaker-trip unit system. It also features an optimized footprint so that it now fits into a smaller area for the most common configurations

		Arc Flash Vault Protection System Arc Flash Vault Protection System consists of light sensors, a protective relay, and a containment dome, all working together to provide fast protection from arc flash hazards. Light sensors are placed throughout the switchgear lineup to detect the moment an arc flash is initiated, and send a signal to the protective relay. The relay looks for both the signal from light sensors, as well as a spike in system current to determine that an arc flash exists. The relay triggers the containment dome, and calls for the main breaker to trip.
